German Roach Season
That’s because unlike American roaches or other types of outdoor roach, they only live inside.
So while some people, rightfully, assume they’ll see fewer roaches in the winter months, that’s mainly only true of those outdoor roaches which tend to go dormant after their increased activity during spring and summer months.
German roaches though are brought indoors. This can be on old moving boxes, used appliances, furniture or even food deliveries. All it takes is one egg capsule or a couple of roaches to start a very bad situation in someone’s home. This most often occurs in kitchens, where food and water are more readily available.
The trouble is German roaches are elusive while also reproducing quickly. So before you know it you could have a significant issue.
The tell-tale signs, beyond obviously seeing them scurry, are a musky type odor and seeing pepper like droppings in cabinets or drawers. So check around dishwashers, refrigerators and the cabinet under sinks. One or all of them can be breeding grounds.
The good news is treating them isn’t impossible.
