House Geckos
House geckos are often found in the yard or on the home. They are beneficial because they eat pests, including cockroaches. Most people don’t mind having them on the home but do not like it when they find one inside. The best way to keep them out is to seal cracks around windows/doors with caulk and handle other potential entry points. These reptiles lay eggs and lose their tail as a defense mechanism against predators. Tails can regenerate in 3 weeks time. Their droppings, which can be found on walls as well as other surfaces, are sometimes confused for roach or rodent droppings. You may see less around the exterior of the home after having pest control for insects & arachnids done due to a reduction in their food source, not as a result of their interaction with pesticides.
