But then how often should you do a treatment?
If you’re treating outside, there is no reason to treat more than once every couple of months, at the most. Otherwise you are putting “product on top of product.” This means that there is product that is likely still working, so adding more doesn’t make it work any better. Being more thorough (treating inside and outside for American roaches, for example) does usually have better results.
The exception to this is treatments using all-natural products based on plant oils and extracts which tend to wear out faster. For example a mosquito spray probably needs to be repeated every few weeks.
If you have received pest control service that comes with a free return, you should wait least four weeks for best results. Then, if you aren’t seeing any of the live pests that were treated, you’re good to go! If you do have a recurrence of live bugs, we can return for a free follow-up in most cases.
