The exception is if you have a considerable amount of small loose items around baseboards or edges of your home. For some services, some product is applied along or near baseboards so moving those out of the way can help.
But our technicians are well-trained and adept at navigating through a home, so moving furniture or heavy items like refrigerators is seldom necessary.
One important service where customer preparation is needed is for German roaches. We treat thoroughly in kitchens and bathrooms, if needed, and so all cabinets and drawers will need to be emptied. Things can go right back in after our technician leaves.
For some other services, doing some preparation can help ensure its success. For indoor flea treatments on carpets, for example, vacuuming thoroughly before the service will help remove quite a few existing fleas and eggs, and make the service more effective and likely to get faster results. Now, this doesn’t touch the idea of prevention! Pest prevention is always a good idea and we recommend many actions on that topic such as cleaning and how to reduce pests from coming in from neighboring areas.
